JOIN SUPER BIOTA’S ATHLETIC MICROBIOME PROGRAMME

Whether you’re a gym-goer, weekend runner, or serious athlete—your microbiome could be the key to the next breakthrough in gut health therapy. Be part of a pioneering movement where your active lifestyle can help shape the next breakthroughs in gut health therapy.

At SuperBiota, we’re pioneering a new approach to gut health by sourcing exceptionally healthy microbiomes from athletic individuals. Why? Because athletes tend to have gut microbiomes that are more diverse, resilient, and metabolically powerful than the general population. Our goal is to use these elite microbiomes to develop next-generation therapies through a process called Intestinal Microbiota Transplantation (IMT). These therapies are designed to help people facing chronic, life-altering conditions by restoring balance to their gut with high-quality microbes from donors like you.

Your active lifestyle has already transformed your body — now it could help transform someone else’s health.

Super Biota is launching UK’s first athlete microbiome programme, for young, active, athletic individuals. If you lead an active lifestyle, the microorganisms in your gut might hold the key to developing life-changing gut health therapies. With a simple stool donation from the comfort of your own home, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of millions who need better gut-health solutions.

Our elite-microbiome programme aims to identify potential athletic stool donors with exceptionally healthy gut microbes — while offering participants valuable personal insights along the way.

WHY IS YOUR MICROBIOME SPECIAL?

Studies has revealed that young people with active lifestyle, especially if they are undergoing endurance training have a microbiome like no other—rich in bacteria that is essential for good health. Years of research on the impact of Gut microbiome on athletes has found that the microbial composition in their gut plays a key role in their fitness and endurance. Years of regular training, strength building and having optimal nutrition helps nurture a more rich and functionally diverse microbiome communities in their gut.

Research suggests that athletic microbiomes may have:

Greater microbial diversity due to physically active lifestyle

Higher levels of key beneficial bacteria with anti-inflammatory properties, that are crucial for metabolic health.

Simply put, athletes and active individuals may be nurturing elite microbiomes that could be the key to developing future gut health therapies.

Sounds Interesting? Learn more about how your intestinal microbiota could help us.

You might think of poop as just waste, but it's actually packed with bacteria—that can tell us a lot about your health! Think of your stool as a snapshot of the microbial diversity living inside your gut.

Inside your intestines, there are trillions of these microbes, all working together . We call this whole community your gut microbiota- a complex ecosystem of bacteria, archaea, eukaryotes, and viruses that have co-evolved with humans over thousands of years. This gut microbiota is integral to our digestion, metabolic function, and resistance to infection. Imagine them as a thriving community of microorganisms, all helping your body run smoothly every single day. These microbes are so important that some scientists even call them a "forgotten organ" because of all the important jobs they do!

Every person’s gut microbiome is unique, but if you are active, play sports and follow a super healthy diet, you may have a unique mix of microbes in your gut that is more exceptional than others. This amazing collection of gut microbes found in Athletic Microbiomes, which we refer to as “ Super Biota” is becoming super important in developing new ways to treat gut health issues.

"Super-Biota" is far more diverse than what we usually see in everyday healthy people. It's an incredibly valuable resource in modern medicine, offering real hope for people with chronic gut health problems. At Super Biota, we're all about using the power of these microbes from your stool samples to help people with gut issues. Sometimes, things like too many antibiotics or certain infections can wipe out the good bacteria in someone's gut. That's where Fecal Microbiota Transplantation (FMT) comes in. It's a procedure where we basically replace some of the "bad" bacteria in a person's colon with "good" bacteria from a healthy donor. This helps bring back the balance of good bacteria that might have been lost due to excessive use of antibiotics or illness. When this balance is restored, it's much easier for the body to fight off infections.

By becoming a stool donor, you're directly helping us advance these incredible microbiome therapies, which have the potential to help millions of people who are suffering.
